Helene Kask (b. 1981, Stockholm, Sweden) is a research-driven artist whose work operates at the intersection of jewelry, technology, and science. In her practice, she explores speculative futures and the protective qualities our bodies might need for survival. Her work inhabits the tension between anxiety and wonder, balancing the clinical, cold nature of science with the intimate vulnerability of the human body.
Helene holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from the Swedish School of Textiles, University of Borås (2005), and worked as a fashion designer for more than a decade. Her extensive background working with the body as a central point of departure, serve as the foundation for her current practice, where she explores the human body and its borders, pushing the boundaries where a body begins and ends. More recently, she has pursued studies in jewelry and corpus at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design, where she is now completing her MFA. Her work has been exhibited in several group exhibitions, including those at The Cell (2025) and Botkyrka Konsthall (2021), as well as in collaboration with the international jewelry platform Current Obsession (2022).
